2022 Honda Civic vs Acura Integra: Differences & changes compared

The internet hates the 2023 Acura Integra because it’s too similar to the Honda Civic. We put them side by side to see the differences.

Yes, the new Acura Integra is based heavily on the the 11th generation Honda Civic, but the two cars share no exterior panels (except, maybe, the roof).

The new Civic is a conservative (and slightly larger) redesign of the 10th generation car. The Integra has all of Acura's latest styling features including its upside pentagonal grille, sharp headlights and signature lighting patterns.

The Integra is a 4-door liftback, a body style not present on the current Civic, which is available as a sedan and a short tail hatch.

The door openings and handle positions are shared between the two cars (hence why the look some similar), but the body surfacing is completely different. The Civic has nice straight lines, while the Integra has all sorts of funny angles.

The Acura's liftback could theoretically make it a modern day '4-door coupe' but the Integra has framed windows, unlike the last generation Integra 4-door.

There's much less differentiation with the interior. The Integra's dashboard is very clearly based on the Civic's, as all the major items are in the same place. The dashboard top and front, and the vents, have a different design though.

Both the Civic Si and Acura Integra both share the same 200hp (149kW) 1.5L turbo I4. The Si has sportier seats, but the Integra's still look pretty grippy with big bolsters.
